The old BMS was used as a closed system with no option for expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modbus and Bacnet are standard protocols, which will serve the automation industry for a long time. Longer than the manufacturer-specific ones, as we already have experienced it.<br>iSMA modules have both the above mentioned standard protocols as default. Also, they are easy to integrate with a Tridium JACE controller.<br>Since it is an active building, another important factor is to be able to replace the old BMS elements as fast as we can, to minimize the forced shutdown periods.
